Chapter 89

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo sat in her living room, watching TV. Priscilla walks in and says “Hey, B***h. Princess here?”

Indigo says “No, she’s at work. Am I not good enough for you anymore?”

“Suck it up, Buttercup. You’ve been replaced.”

“I finally get rid of you? If that’s all it took, you should have told me.”

“Don’t be a fool. You know you’re not lucky enough to get rid of me.”

“And I’m not cruel enough to palm you off on anyone else.”

            “Hey. I’m not that bad.”

“What do you want with Summer?”

“I wanted to know who she’s bringing Saturday. Do you know?”

“Only Ethan and Sabrina. I’m not even sure if she’s asked Silvain.”

            “Let’s go find out.”

“She’s working. We can’t disturb her.”

“Why not? Is it a closed event?”

            “I don’t know.”

            “Then text her and ask.”

            “Why don’t you?”

“She won’t give me her number. I’m not sure if Gaz has it either.”

Indigo picks up her phone and sends a text. “Have you asked her for her number? Or given her yours?”

Priscilla shrugs. “I figured she’d do it when she’s ready. I know she’s not used to me yet.”

“You haven’t exactly made it easy for her.”

“I’ve been nothing but nice to the woman.” Indigo laughs as her phone goes off. “Can I answer it?”

Indigo shakes her head and answers her phone. “Hey, Princess…Everything’s fine. Priscilla wants to talk to you about your party…Have you invited anyone?... What about Silvain?... You sure?... Ok then. What time will you be finished tonight?... I made you a deal and I miss you.” Priscilla pretends to gag. Indigo gives her the finger. “Where are you?... So I can pick you up… See you later. Love you… Bye.”

Indigo hangs up. “Where is she?”

            “The bar near your apartment.”

Priscilla stands up. “Let’s go then.”

            “She hasn’t invited anyone else.”

“I see. Well, I feel like a drink. You can either join me, or let me get drunk, alone, with your girlfriend.”

            Indigo jumps up. “Let’s go.”

“It’s as if you don’t trust me.”

“If you didn’t have a crush on Summer I wouldn’t mind.”

Priscilla opens the door. “You can’t blame me. She’s hot.”

            “Can’t argue with that.”

            Priscilla and Indigo leave.
