Chapter 80

Chapter 80

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo and Priscilla in Indigo’s living room. Priscilla says “Why?”

Indigo says “She doesn’t want a big deal. And no strippers, that includes you.”

“Fine. No strippers. Where should we have it?”

“How about my parents’ house? It’s big enough, and Pop can do the food.”

“Would they mind?”

“Not for Summer.”

“Settled. You’d better check first.”

“I will. So, how are things going with Gaz?”

“Good, but I know you don’t want to hear about it.”

“Not really. It doesn’t seem fair that I can talk to you about things, and you can’t talk to me.”

“It’s no big thing. Anyway, subject change, how’s not working going for you?”

“I’m still working, only not as much, or in the office.”

“Take the time off. Focus on the important things in life. Like me.” Indigo laughs. “Have you heard anything about your brother?”

“No. I’m not sure I want to either. He almost took Summer away from me. I won’t let him, or anyone else, do that again.”

“None of us will.” Priscilla stands up, walks to Indigo and kisses her forehead. “I’ve got to get back to work, but if you need me, call.”

“Of course.”

“Let me know what your parents say?”

“Get to work before you get fired.”

“I’m going. I’ll miss you.”

Priscilla leaves.
