Chapter 71

Indigo, Summer, Sabrina, Henrietta, Lexi and Priscilla sat in Indigo's parents' living room. Henrietta says "Well, I see I've got three weddings to plan."

Indigo says "Three?"

"Gaz and Priscilla, Lexi and Ethan, and you and Summer."

Priscilla says "Let's not get ahead of ourselves."

"Doesn't hurt to be prepared."

Lexi says "Mama, I can't marry my nephew."

Summer says "Are you going to break my son's heart?"

"He has eighteen years to get over it."

"You're not easy to get over, Lex. Even harder to get under."

Sabrina says "You shouldn't talk to other women like that when you're engaged."

Indigo says  "We're not engaged."

Priscilla says "That's right. Summer didn't answer Indigo last night."

"What?"

Sabrina says "Ah, yes but she didn't turn her down."

Henrietta says "Tell us how it happened."

Indigo says "Yes. Please tell."

Priscilla says "Ok. Summer chugged like half a bottle of, what was it, rum?"

Summer nods. Lexi says "One of your many talents."

Summer says "You'd know."

"In your dreams."

Priscilla says "Anyway, I jokingly said marry me and Indigo was like 'Back off. She's mine. She's marrying me.'"

Henrietta says "That's lovely. Summer, why didn't you give her answer?"

Summer says "Doesn't count. She was drunk."

Priscilla says "She's not drunk now."

Gaz comes downstairs, carrying a sleeping Ethan in his arms. "Looks like it's time to get my boy home."

Indigo says "I'll take you."

Lexi says "What's the rush?"

Summer says "Miss me already?"

Indigo says "Ethan has school tomorrow."

Sabrina says "I can take care of that. You two have things to discuss. Remember, Summer?"

Summer looks at the floor. Sabrina tries to take Ethan from Gaz. Ethan grumbles. Gaz says "Does that mean I'm stuck with him?"

"For now."

Lexi says "Indigo, you take Summer. I'll take the rest. Let's go." Lexi kisses Henrietta's cheek. "Bye, Mama. Say bye to Pop?"

Gaz says "He's passed out. Bye, Mama."

Priscilla stands up and says "Thank you foe having me. It was nice to meet you. Again."

Henrietta stands up, hugs Priscilla and says "You're welcome anytime."

Priscilla kisses Indigo's cheek. "Call you later." Indigo nods. Priscilla pecks Summer's lips. "I'll get you back for pushing me in the pool."

Summer says "Consider us even for the handcuffs."

Sabrina says "Handcuffs?"

Priscilla says "Sounds fair. See you around."

"Henny, we should have lunch some time."

Henrietta says "All of us."

"Of course. Good night."

Lexi, Sabrina, Priscilla, Gaz and Ethan leave. "Well, girls, do you want to stay here or go home?"

Indigo says "We should go. Love you, Mama."

Indigo hugs Henrietta. Summer says "See you, Mrs Wyatt."

Henrietta says "Please, call me Mama."

"I've got a mom but thank you."

"Will you at least call me Henrietta?"

"I'll think about it."

Indigo and Summer leave.
