Chapter 69

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo, Gaz and Priscilla walk into Indigo's parents' house. Gaz says "Mama, Pop, we're here."
Wilson meets themat the door and says "Hello, kids. Who's your friend?"
"This is Priscilla."
"Is she your girlfriend?"
"Yes."
Priscilla says "I am?"
Gaz shrugs. "If you want."
"Why not."
Wilson says "Nice to meet you. I'm Wilson."
Indigo says "Pop, did Mama talk to you?"
"Yes. He's not here. I haven't seen him since Friday."
Gaz says "Good. Summer and her family are coming over."
Priscilla says "Am I missing something?"
Wilson says "Yes. A drink. Gareth, take a Priscilla through to the kitchen."
Gaz nods, takes Priscilla's hand and leads her away. Indigo says "You don't believe it, do you?"
"Indigo, he's my son."
"You think I want to believe my brother would do that? Especially to keep someone away from, just because she's a girl?"
Henrietta puts her hand on Wilson's shoulder and says "Honey, I saw the after effects."
Wilson says "I don't doubt he hurt Summer, but not like that."
Indigo points to an old picture and says "Pop, who's that?"
Wilson looks. "Ric."
"Remember that picture when Summer gets here."
Indigo walks away.
