Chapter 73

Charlie and Louisa walk over to Shannon. Charlie says "Hey."
Shannon says "Hey, yourself."
Louisa says "You going to indtroduce us to your friend?"
Shannon says "This is Rebecca. An old friend of your father's."
Rebecca says "Rebecca Lewis."
Louisa says "I'm Louisa and this is my sister, CJ."
Rebecca says "CJ. What does that stand for?"
Charlie says "I'm going back to the car. Do you want me to take the baby?"
Shannon says "No. You ok?"
Charlie says "Fine."
Rebecca says "Have I upset you?"
Louisa says "She's shy. You haven't answered my question."
Rebecca says "Is it just the two of you?"
Louisa says "And little Charlie, as far as we know."
Rebecca says "Charlotte?"
Charlie says "Shannon?"
Shannon says "Louisa, go get Leigh and Millie."
Louisa says "No. What's going on? Who are you?"
Shannon says "Go on."
Charlie says "I'm going."
Shannon says "Stay where you are. Louisa, go."
Louisa says "No, not until someone tells me what's going on. Who are you and how do you know CJ's name?"
Rebecca says "I'm her mother."
Louisa says "You can't be. You're not old enough. I don't believe you"
Rebecca says "I was seventeen when I had you're sister."
Charlie says "Then you abandoned me."
Rebecca says "I want to make it up to you."
Charlie says "Make it up to me? Why are you really here?"
Rebecca says "I needed to find you."
Charlie says "You've had twenty one years to do that. Why now?"
Rebecca says "I missed seeing my daughter grow up."
Charlie says "Your choice. I never had you around, why would I want you around now? Why don't you go back to the rock you crawled out from under and leave me alone."
Charlie walks away in the direction of the car. Shannon says "I'm sure she'll come around when she calms down. She's probably in shock."
Louisa says "Well I definitely am. I'm not sure I believe it."
Rebecca says "I'm not sure what else I can stay."
Louisa says "Do you know what the J in CJ's name stands for?"
Shannon says "Don't you know?"
Louisa says "Yeah, but only me, dad and CJ do."
Rebecca says "It's Jedi. Your father was a huge Star Wars fan."
Shannon says "Jedi? Really?"
Louisa says "Dad said it was a compromise."
Rebecca says "He wanted to call her Wicket."
