Summer

Summer

A Poem by Katie Marie
"

It's really hot today and I haven't properly seen my girlfriend in weeks.

"

I don't care how hot it gets, how many beads of sweat form above my brows. Whether pools form beneath us. I still want to hold you; as much as I ache in the heat, I ache more without your touch.

Please come back to me, the heat is making me hate, and I know you could take that all away.

This is a wonderful comparison of your resiliance too heat and your need for someone.

You might want to add an image to this though? Just a thought. I am kind of visual.

I like the longing you portrayed here! I can feel the distance :)

I’m Katie. I hate my name, it sounds like the name of a toothless hillbilly. I’m eighteen. I’m kind of an a*****e because I love too much and care about very little. I honestly have .. more..
