If I Were TeaA Poem by Katie MarieI just really wanted a cup of teaBoil the kettle and heat up my skin; leave scars like the water would. Let the tea bag sit there, brewing like your kiss. I want it longer, stronger and harsher. Don't make me too bitter, nor too sweet. Don't fill me so much that I spill as you walk, I'd rather you not make me fall in a heap under your feet. Don't set me aside and forget about me; taste me and love me. Don't let me go cold. © 2013 Katie Marie |
