The Human Beast Exile

The Human Beast Exile

A Poem by Dream Slave

The mask has finally fallen off,
I am free, the wires have let me go,
So complete, so whole, morally sickening,
No longer limited by society's codes.
There is no guilt, no shame,
blank every page on this book,
destroyed from the inside,
obliterated to the last atom,
the sense of humanity within me,
since humanity has regressed...
to solve problems like beasts,
emerging from dark days,
once again a human being.

Oh, yes! What a wonderful poem that shows what the beginnings of change feels like. We must throw off the old ways in order to learn new ways to live, to once again become real human beings. I am inspired by this poem.
