In the Puddle of Your Life

In the Puddle of Your Life

A Poem by Dream Slave
"

Old Piece

"
Feeling lonely on these streets
Please take me off this trip
Down the lane of memories
That was once you and me

I keep thinking about you

Hoping that something I could do
Staring blankly trying to choose
to go or to stay hung up on you

I am trying to decide

Trying to keep control of my mind
Searching to escape this confine
Telling myself everything is fine

Smiling trying not to cry

Living trying not to die
Standing trying not to lie
In the puddle of your life

It's like a battle of the mind, well it is to me anyway. this one is kinda close to home to me. I can really relate

the last staza was astounding..i was almost convinced that this piece is not as good as your other pieces...but the last stanza did it for me...once again!
i liked the way you have expressed the turnmoil of thoughts that the writer is struck between... a battle between what beats and what thinks...not an easy one...i can only hope that the righteous of two come out victorious...afterall hanging on to that pain is sometimes the right thing to do...
