Structural Imperfection

Structural Imperfection

A Poem by Dream Slave
"

A writing inspired by Tool's Sober, Opiate, and Eulogy

"
The strongest pillar,
To be leaned on,
Looked upon the millions,
Oh if they'd only known,
It was not what it seemed,
It was only a half truth,
Only know the facts,
That are laid on my stones,
Come onto me weak bases,
Feel the strength held in these walls,
Build along your own creations,
Which to pieces will be blown,
Only to find yourself again,
Trying to build which made you live,
A false sense of hope,
Letting you rise again,
Waiting to be torn down,
Such feeble attempts of finding,
The truth behind my strength,
Closer to me farther you'll be,
From getting your veracity,
Another fact to the collection,
Of the useless ones you have,
Used to make myself stronger,
The only reason why you are,
While you seek the truth yonder,
I'm the center of the plan,
While you sit around and wonder,
Taller mightier I shall stand,
Until then build your truth around me,
While I give you only lies,
Hand over all of your power,
And in circles I will guide,
Until the day you die,
Eat your core and build my might.
