Memories

Memories

A Poem by Dream Slave
"

Contemplating on the past helps with the future

"
Heavy is the load,
which on my shoulders I must carry,
everyday weight adds on,
simply more than I can manage,
so I thought as there I stood,
contemplating memories.

Heavy is the burden,
which over my head hangs,
strife is how it'll be ended,
and how it all began,
so I thought there as I stood,
contemplating memories.

Heavy is the cross,
which I must always with me keep,
to remind me all that's lost,
what one day had made me weak,
so I knew there as I stood,
contemplating memories.
