Black Hues of ResidencyA Poem by Josie E. Cook M. A.Social differences, indifference, and tragic overlooks...Where are the people as beautiful as admired angels, garden fairies, and treasured pets? I try to remain calm as hidden mirrors, With my marine wishes subdued-- The idle reader with a constant reflection about love, A woman with the iridescent green eyes.
I think some of my friends are moved by creative compositions, But, they have turned to computer games And they often make up new strategies during their boredom, As they become moved by viewing stranger's faces Who are faces on Internet Facebook walls, The truth escapes them many times.
They are of the past of what was always overlooked. Some of their people speak in tongues, Or remain silent, talking about nothing inside their heads. They are somewhat similar to those lost streetcars or wrecked pirate ships buried under the building sands, In the wrong element, with nowhere to go . . .. They will not meet anyone's eyes directly.
Although the worm is often ugly; here's a magnificent butterfly, On a pink bloom of cosmos, the moon will rise on their eve of springtime beauty, This is the present with renewal, Where they fly wonderfully as their end is closing in, And there will be nothing else in their future.
