Crooked Eye

Crooked eye, offset in socket

Dead.

Like the lightning flailed tree.

 

Even so it speaks,

Daily reminding me of impurity…

Self-awareness…diffidence.

 

I’m powerless to argue with

Such beauty.

For this crooked eye offset in socket,

Daily reminds me of humility.
