Contemplation

I have a friend who is

A feather in the wind,

When he speaks, it’s though

He thinks he’s still secured to the bird.

 

When asked what is the proof of God

I respond,

‘See the proof in a child’s smile�"

In all things simple and complex�"

In the way that Love is the most

Powerful force in the universe.

There; is God.’

 

I am sad now.  But this shall pass.

I look out my window and there’s

Just the brick wall;

However, soon it shall be a meadow.

 

Am I a prisoner of the muse?

Am I only let out occasionally

To scream from the rocky shore?

To wave a warning banner of

Insight in the face of the Argonaut?

 

I am sad now.  But this too, shall pass.

Love is the greatest

Force in the universe.

I agree with the lines above. When I feel weak and useless. A smile and kind words from my grandsons. "I love you Grandpa, you like to take me places." I know there is reason to live and love life. No weakness in the amazing poetry. Poetry support to awake the dead in heart. This poem could. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
