The beat of the drums

just like the beating of my heart

everyboom and crash

letting me just... restart

 

the strumming of the guitar

one chord after another

put into perfect melody

holds me together

 

the lyrics from the singers mouth

just flows from the soul

makes me get lost in the song

making me lose control

 

it's heart, it's soul, it's life

music is more than just sound

music is a part of everyone

it makes the world go 'round

 

sound flowing to my heart

from my ears

music

helps me wipe awaymy tears

express myself

and face all of my fears.

Well said Joshua, all very true. A lot of depth in this and where would we be without music? It's a salve for soul it really is... makes life worth living and helps us keep going. It also gives a voice to things deep inside that often we can't find the words for... keep writing! I like the your sentiments expressed here!

Music .. just the name of the poem has pulled me towards it. Music is something that is everything. A feelings, a believe, a smile, its colours, its sky, its my heart, its my soul, its my whole existence, its in mind mind, in my every thought, in my every single heart beat, It rushes through my veins, there's no blood, there's music, Its music that gives me the reasons, its music which keeps me going, its because of music that I am, its because of music that I can see what I can't see without it, something that is real but not visible, something that has meanings but is meaningless without music. Life would be a nightmare without music, music is peace, peace that gives me lots and lots of me, a heavenly peace, contentment, joy, its love to me, its like the morning sunshine, its like the world without any war, its like the heaven with bright and beautiful colours. Music is nothing but this all to me, :) I love your poem.. It just teased my sentiments about music in a magnificently. :) I loved reading it and reviewing it. keep us the good work my friend. :)
