Hourglass

The hourglass is set

 

As the sand slowly falls

another second of your life goes by

 

Falling one grain at a time

it slowly reaches a close

so live it up while you’re in your prime

 

You can’t put it in reverse

can’t just flip it upside down

no matter how diverse

no matter how much decisions make you frown

 

one little piece of sand falls

every time your heart pumps

don’t be trapped inside fearful walls

don’t be afraid of taking lots of leaps and jumps

everything will fall into place

 

so take life as it comes

live how you want to

maybe to the beat of rapid drums

but what ever you do

try not to break the

hourglass
