Protector

having a down day

frown upon your face

anxiety taking it's toll

making your heart race

can't keep your concentration

mind is scattered

and being pulled in every direction

on the window thoughts splattered

so much happening

all at once, it's a lot to take

and you're trying to be strong

can I help you smile when you wake

help you get through this life

with real, true happiness

not the kind people pretend

that turn them into a mess

I want to be your crying shoulder

the person you know you can lean on

I want to be your protector

so please can I help you from now on

This has such a strong and motivational message :) It is always wonderful to be able to help people out of their down moods and there's hope for everyone, even if they just have a bad day. A bad day shouldn't be a reason for us to end our entire lives, good days will eventually come...bad days are just necessary in order to move forward to experience the new.

Short n' sweet. I enjoyed it and how it wasn't choppy during any line I read. Good work matching the title to the writing and making sure that it fit the poem correctly.
I also like how you didn't confide in 11 letter words and such, and you mixed the most basic flavors of writing and still made a product that beats some of the ones that are chock full of 'fancy' words. This was a piece that you should be proud of. c:

Awesome write, I enjoyed each part and the flow. The thought and meaning of being there for someone as a protector is a nice feeling and needed/wanted by many. I think you touched on emotions very well in this poem. The simple title fits just perfectly to the poem. Really enjoyed.
