Birds Eyeview

Birds Eyeview

A Poem by Canicus

what can be seen
with a birds eye view
flying high in the clouds
see things in a form so true

see the beauty and the poisons
in this world
I wish to see things
without being twisted and twirled

know where the truth is
and let the lies peek out
would I know the path to paradise
or the pothole path that goes off of a cliff

can I see inside the hearts of people
know who's pure and who's toxic
who will be my nesting tree
who will shoot me down

what can be seen
with a birds eye view
flying high in the clouds
see things in the form so true.

Okay... from the beginning stanza I love the relaxed feeling with the imagery.
Enjoyed these lines:
"see things in a form so true

see the beauty and the poisons "

The way you compare sight to birds is really nice, I like how you did that.
Nice:
"I wish to see things
without being twisted and twirled"

The way you word things and come up with the descriptions... love it:
"would I know the path to paradise
or the pothole path that goes off of a cliff"

"who will be my nesting tree
who will shoot me down"

Nice repeating stanza for the first and last stanzas, nice way to start the poem and end the poem. Your author's note "enjoy" ... well I very much did enjoy this.
