That's what I've always liked about your poetry I think, you don't just make something that sounds nice or has relevance.. you paint your soul out a bit in each little line. It's been a while since I've reviewed anything of yours and I have to say you've developed even further as a writer! This is wonderful. I loved that you paired the poem with an image from Shutter Island, also. One of my favorite books, and the movie was great, too. This is poignant and brimming with tender nostalgia for a precious love that fleeted through your life like a slipping dream. Exquisitely written and burning with the embitterment of reality. Very nice.
Wow! You must have really loved this girl. I agree that soulmates are forever, it's like a part of them lingers inside your very being when they are gone. I can relate, in a long distance relationship way. Anyway, So Beautiful!!
