Ouch...if I didn't have such a good memory this poem might not hit me at such an emotional level...This form is new in your writing, at least to me and I like it. The drum beat in the song reminds me a bit of the form, in a good way.
You always seem to nail your emotions with lyrics and phrasing that draws in the reader even though the emotions are dark...Nicely done Joshua
There is an ache to this. A tangible gnaw that locks down on my gut and won't ebb. Sometimes the simplest words convey the strongest emotion. I like the set up of this piece - the way the words break on the page - its like that catch of breath we do when we sob....or the way thoughts pass through us before we fall asleep.
Well penned.
I like this. I thought this poem would be about the Rapture considering the picture, but I saw it wrong. I love how you inverted my perception with this piece. Thank you Josh.
Everything is always, "Yeah, it's ok." followed by whatever truism we can add to show we aren't alarmed and totally overwhelmed by reality. Sometimes nothing will ever be ok again... and it really isn't all that hard to describe the hurt with the masks our mind has to play with.
wow
This made me feel unusually sick which feels quite familiar...but not, at the same time. Its just so sad :( and the structure of the poem works really well :)
I like it. going into my library :D
I also like the structure of this poem. It gives the apperance of being in turmoil and falling. This was a good poem. The content of it flowed with the structure of the poe. With the speaker being so caught up in their own world that their spouse was left behind to deal with her own issues and once the speaker realized it was too late. Gooc write.

"My trepidation of things past is not a song with a beginning, middle and end. But an endless symphony playing infinite variations on the same theme. One day of sadness fades into another and the .. more..
