Romans 10:9-11
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Wicked. Really awesome poem with the metaphors and similies of the wall of your heart peeling like paint. The whole thing reminded me of this character from this show called Heroes I think. There was this character that was an artist that was basically an oracle. Everything he saw though basically, was death and torture. The true ugliness in life. Anyways your poem reminded me of him. It was as if you painted his soul perfectly with words. Also, what Emily Burns with explanation of art is never being pretty. To be honest the truth is never really pretty and most of the best artwork comes from a tortured soul or based off a tortured world. Sad really.
First, "mouth of my mind" this is new to me. I remember Shakespear, inventing so many fascinating words and phrases for his literary pieces that up to this date are still not in the dictionary, but still all those words are being accepted and continue on amazing his readers. So yes, your "mouth of my mind" for rational and literal people may not exist, but for those who see the un-ordinary this phrase is real, beyond reality it does exist.
Second, these two lines are the best! I adore you again for these:
to give in is to die
to let go of the pain is life
in the absence of light there is always this alluring voice that is leading me into the brink of death, but still I always want to choose the latter, and I will always will!
Damn! Why haven't I read you sooner!?
This is magnificent, transcendent. The last line is one of my Mantras. Pain is a place i go all too often. There is no light there, and no growth. I am getting too old for that kind of pain.
Thank you for the wonderful, thoughtful, perfect words.
