holes

holes

A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
In despair I felt the place of my death in there
Without despair I have known this place as life
How I miss living there yet still I hold you,
Here, now, just as beautiful as ever before

Untarnished in my heart even after all the
trials, still full of youthful endearment
My heart sings as if this were our first touch
A realization that that never gets old

I could step through these holes eternally,
dancing away from the light, creating worlds

Of course I am dreaming, whittling away
at the building blocks cluttering my mind

I like the way this poem sits almost entirely within the mind, as if one were in the state between waking and sleep when our the regrets and high points of one's life float through thoughts, connected and unconnected, the pain and pleasure all there to be observed but no way to act upon it.

Well penned. We can be inspired by so many things. Keep up the great work. Love the image too.

A particularly different write for you, but I am rendered speechless! I absolutely love this, I don't know where to begin. I really feel every word. Just seeing the first couple lines of the featured review, I definitely agree. Death and beauty are two things I love to write about, to think about. A vast majority of my writing is about one of the two, or both!
I just think each line was so well crafted. One of my favorites, I think!

Its a relate able story for me.
I find there can be so much more potential in forgiveness and history with a person.
You have a unique talent and can truly see the acceptance of the contradiction of light and darkness, their symbiotic relationship.

this feels beautiful in the way the words fall, one after another, like pieces of a puzzle... well done Joshua :)

Wonderful poem, and I love the picture. Very cool! Sad memories haunt us all, but you write of them so well. Great piece!

I. Mario is beast.
II. I love the picture.
III. That last two lines are fantastic. I've never seen that in writing before.

Overall, this is kind of fascinating to read. As emerald already said, your preoccupation with death is intriguing, and moreso is your ability to convey it so beautifully. I feel rather stupid leaving a comment because for once I don't really have much to say other than this is really great. Ah, well. So be it-- this is really great.

Untarnished in my heart even after all the trials, still full of youthful endearment.......fabulous work and that picture is just perfect for it.

lovin on the ethereal surreal quality of shadows inside shades and the tilt of the meandering meaning coming round back again to fill the space between light and the absence of light~ subtle sharp~ served just with right hint of edge~
