for our children

for our children

A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
Pull yourselves out of the mirage
that your governments have created
for you to waste your precious life
chasing vain and materialistic junk
giving them back the money they print

Fall to your knees and pray
it doesn't matter your religion
or nationality, color or creed
the world we have been entrusted
is dying right before our very eyes

We spend so much time drowning
in our own misery instead of helping
the starving and dying souls of our
worldwide family, I am so ashamed
that I too am unable to escape this blame

Now is the time for us to stand together
in unison and support the few superheroes
that are fighting a seemingly loosing battle
I implore you...please wake up before
there is nothing left for our children

This was a great write. Everyone should definitely follow what you are saying in this. I feel bad for the children that are being born into this world now. People really need to start listening, but a lot of people know that they won't. The song that you picked to go with this is really pretty. I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing. :)

this is a great poignant reminder of the apathy surrounding our responsibility for a safter, healthy and peaceful world that we should be ensuring for our future generation,

Amazing!! I totally know what your saying! This is great and I really wish people would listen to stuff like this and do something about the problems in our world. All it takes is a little effort and for people to stop being so freaking selfish and things would be so much better. Thanks for posting, I really wish people would take stuff like this into consideration.

1.2 trillion on war and 93 billion on people is the budget of the USA. War is 15 time more important then people. USA is hungry too. 43 million on welfare. Time for war to stop. Need to fix the problem of 60,000 dying weekly of hunger in this world. There is few places where the government tried to insure the people are safe and fed. Here in Michigan. Many organization are feeding the 60-80 thousand homeless in Detroit. I was lucky. I served 8 years of Bill Clinton. I went to Africa three time with water and food/medical teams. With no war. Soldiers can lead in helping and allow the powerful countries to open doors of friendship with food and medical help. We need a Bill Clinton. A big smile and he knew how to talk. He would solve problems without 6,000 soldiers dying and USA destroying a beautiful country. You are right. Time for all people to demand the wars to stop and use common sense. Take care of the fellow man on our planet. Thank you for the poem. Made me think.

This is what I keep saying and telling everyone! The world was given to us and we care more about the things that we make. Even, if you are unreligious, it makes no sense to trash our world and uphold the things of man. Man's things tend to destroy our world and the things of nature keep trying to heal. Great write!!
