for our children

for our children

A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
Pull yourselves out of the mirage
that your governments have created
for you to waste your precious life
chasing vain and materialistic junk
giving them back the money they print

Fall to your knees and pray
it doesn't matter your religion
or nationality, color or creed
the world we have been entrusted
is dying right before our very eyes

We spend so much time drowning
in our own misery instead of helping
the starving and dying souls of our
worldwide family, I am so ashamed
that I too am unable to escape this blame

Now is the time for us to stand together
in unison and support the few superheroes
that are fighting a seemingly loosing battle
I implore you...please wake up before
there is nothing left for our children

This was a great write. Everyone should definitely follow what you are saying in this. I feel bad for the children that are being born into this world now. People really need to start listening, but a lot of people know that they won't. The song that you picked to go with this is really pretty. I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing. :)

A truth we cannot deny it is the way of humanity to kill everything he loves

Wondrous statement!

Society has long since given up it's responsibility to stewardship, we have created so much misery.

I question if we can ever regain our true humanity.

This is well written and sends a wonderful message to the readers. If only we all will wise up and do something, anything. Very strong ending!!!

Oh wow. I absolutely love this poem.. I love stanzas 1-4, all flawless. Wonderful message.. wonderful..

"Fall to your knees and pray
it doesn't matter your religion
or nationality, color or creed
the world we have been entrusted
is dying right before our very eyes" I really have no words to properly express how much I really loved this. Well done

Wonderful piece Josh! Well written, but also important in its message and so heartfelt. Stewardship is an awesome (not meant in the overly used manner) responsibility---

this is motivating... can be a kick-a*s song. Words are picked carefully and sentences are well-expressed. A loud call to awake the humanity. I like it.

Well I for one am standing up cheering your words. A thought provoking, full of truth write. Thank you for sharing your altruistic ideas, its a pity more don't think like you.

"Now is the time for us to stand together

that are fighting a seemingly loosing battle

Hear, hear!!!
