It's so hard to tear myself
                                      out of your tantalizing
                                         hold, away from
                                      your soothing touch
                                     and take the long
                                     walk back to where
                                   I live which isn't home
                                     my home is with you
                                   inside your pleasant
                                     gaze, forever locked
                                   into mine, stare at me
                                     my glorious lover
                                  so I can remember your
                                     elegant face and
                                     your starlit eyes
                                      as I return to
                                       this nightmare
                                         without you

Beautiful :) Not sure if it was intentional but there seems to be a lot of sibilants? Such as 'tantalizing', 'soothing' and 'glorious'. I like this in romantic poems because it creates a hushing sound when read aloud, similar to the tone in which you might address a lover. I just completed an A Level English course a few months back so my mind's still crammed full of the terminology :P Thank you for sharing!

A commanding write - it takes the reader by force and it's hard not to be swept away by this poem. Great work!

The poem is beautiful. A woman can make us feel like a king. I believe we must always be kind and thankful when a woman allow us in and is kind to us. I like the ending to the outstanding poem.

Joshua this poem is breathtaking. Your work is always impressive, and this piece really touched my heart. Haha and I know exactly the feeling this poem is describing. I hate leaving my boyfriend's house..or just us parting in general. This is amazing!! and I'm soooo pumped that you posted this :) thanks

I know this feeling when we have to leave our loved one where we feel safe and secure to return to our lives that are not as happy as we would like for them to be.
