A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
It's so hard to tear myself
                                      out of your tantalizing
                                         hold, away from
                                      your soothing touch
                                     and take the long
                                     walk back to where
                                   I live which isn't home
                                     my home is with you
                                   inside your pleasant
                                     gaze, forever locked
                                   into mine, stare at me
                                     my glorious lover
                                  so I can remember your
                                     elegant face and
                                     your starlit eyes
                                      as I return to
                                       this nightmare
                                         without you

OMGness! I adore this poem. So many people have felt what it is like to be away from a lover, and I believe you summed up the emotions very well

Love these lines: gaze, forever locked
into mine, stare at me
my glorious lover
so I can remember your
elegant face and
your starlit eyes
as I return to
this nightmare
without you

Best line is your starlit eyes.. It just gives this poem the perfect surreal quality.
