A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
yes I still see the world
through mascara tipped eyes
I still sit silently on the ground
          and contemplate the small things
I still hold firm to epic ideas
such as true love and world peace
I am still a hopeless romantic
forever stuck in this fairy tale
anime still burns my television screen
skinny jeans and etnies still fill my closet
          Even though the majority
of today's youth has taken our lead
I still don't follow the crowd
silently cutting my own trail
           I still gender bend
           call me what you will
f****t, sissy, freak
I will still stop to smell the flowers
I will still jump on my trampoline
           in the pouring rain <3 <3 <3

Jump on that trapoline, Joshua. The rain will not dampen spirit such as yours. It's not easy being different, but if you are true to yourself, you will always have inner peace. Lots of empowerment in this introspective write. Just one question...what are "etnies"? I have no clue. Well written. Lydi**

For some reason it cut off like half of my review. Sooo, I'll finish it here.
It reminds us that we're still alive enough to express it.
And God doesn't make mistakes, and he definitely didn't with you.
Keep expressing yourself and writing like a champ!

Btw, I'm totally inspired to go put my chucks on even though I took them off earlier. Hahah

I definitely smiled the whole way through this and really wanted to do an epic fist pump at the end. Hahah
But really, I can relate to this so well. Being different is bliss.

Be who ever you are, damn what anyone else thinks of you. It only matters what you think of you. And you obviously love yourself. So never you mind what the others mock and don't let discouraging words become your despair. Hold your chin up high and be proud to scream loud, you "f****t, sissy, freak" I AM STILL ME. The last bit in quotation marks is meant as a joke...LOl not to offend at all...! Awesome write deathdealer...!

Empowering write! I absolutely love it! More for the message of being who you are, how you are, and never backing down from others. To be yourself is the hardest thing to embrace and some will never accept certain characteristics from anyone who may be labeled as not "Normal" but I believe there is no normal. There just is. So we can just be. And I love for you to always.... Just BE!
Another great one!

love it, especially the tone of the piece. the ending is my favorite part, when you counter with "i will stop to smell the flowers" which really gives insight into the personality of the narrator of this piece.

And there "you" are. Again.....You radiate when you're in "this" place. I hope you can feel the difference. Its palpable from where I stand...
