A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

07/2014

"
I couldn't find the key
to the door of your here
and now

So instead I wandered
the grave truth
that grew

That thrived in
the deepest corners
of my mind

I walked among
tragedies and
the grand casualty

I flew with
angels of dissolution
and fatality

I felt their
grievances
take root

And spring
into black laurels
that multiplied daily

It has brought me
to the ending
of all things

And I've seen
more than most
can handle

This knowledge
has become a
burden

A dead weight
dragging me
across oceans floors

I was there when
the plane fell
from dawning skies

I was there for
the terror,
for the lies they told

this is so sad...and such a sad event...but you make this universal....if dwell on the past pain, or spend all summer fretting the future...what will fall bring? surely not contentment...

we stave off the good stuff with negative thinking.

nicely done.

I agree with your Author's note. Too much sadness and destruction in our world. Thank you Joshua for sharing the powerful poetry.

This a tragic scene! This is the type of scene that will numb the mortal mind. How do you hold onto your humanity after dealing with the nature of such thing as this. I have no answers so, I look to God!

I wasn't there, but I will never forget that day. It stands out in my mind like a thorn in my eye, so vivid it stings. It's hard for me even to recall that day and yet here you relate it with such finess that reading this piece somehow brings hope. Thank you.
