over there

over there

A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

"

I am standing on the edge

of the divide

Somewhere between

this life and eternity

Here the sirens struggle

to pull me back

Knowing if I step over

this boundary

Forever to them

I am lost

No longer will

their torments stab me

Looking around for you

I can only stay a moment

for one more glance

Yearning for

one more touch

But my heart is quickly

coming to an end

Like a clock whose hands

are slowing to a still

The closer I get the more vibrant

my thoughts become

The more the black

becomes old

I try to feel sad

But this smile

won't stop turning

The lights

won't stop shining

I am realizing that

our dreams where true

That this reality

is the lie

And

over  there

No more tears

will we cry

Instead my own light

will shine upon your face

My warmth will encase you

until your hands clasp mine

Only then will I be able

to pull you from the mud

From the sediment

that holds you in place

I'll show you a kingdom

that has been there all along

And together we'll share in the freedom

that our souls have longed for

Wow... i got goosebumps!! I could feel this poem.. taken to the middle of the dark abyss.. wondering to go somewhere. The war of emotions.. gosh!! The effort that you could go to a kingdom and live the way you always wanted.. this was breathtakingly beautiful. :)

I enjoyed this poem as well! I could feel you going in between life and death...and trying to be pulled from it by the person you love! I thought this was amazing. I love your dark themes. Also the picture went really well. Thank you for sharing. :)

Aaaah such a beautiful write, full of a feeling, empathic skill, to be with one leg on the other side, and with the other still in this world, I just admire the power you bring, whitin your style... it makes me wonder what happend to the persona this time, for I can hear the sirens vividly.... but how nice the battle is, on the exact moment, of two parallel worlds, it's a duality in itself... fantastic music here, too, it really brings me there. I wonder how this kingdom is... how it looks like, do a second part please... ^^ thank you for transporting me as reader there. Excellent buddy!
