Perish not, nor give in.
There is someone who can

Something that will break a way
To the side that you seek

Continue to speak

Continue to find

Allow this dawning,
This sunrise to begin

Quietly, keep your eyes
From fallacies without

Set your sights on promises within

The music though. Ah, so soothing. A perfect combination while reading your poem.
"Quietly, keep your eyes
From fallacies without"
Yet the most calming line I read here. I felt like there's something to ponder in this piece. Wisdom. Life. Insights. A very beautiful piece, Joshua. I enjoyed it. :)

I can relate to this struggle, seeking to find a balance, to be in the world, but not of it. It reminds me of the promises that are mine to seek, and the constant doubt that they could just be a figment of my imagination.

A lot of your poetry is very positive and uplifting which is always a joy to see. Most of mine is not quite that way, so I really like seeing what others do with it.

Allow this dawning,
This sunrise to begin

These were my favorite lines. =)

It is from within all takes a start, and where all answers lies. One must keep quiet to listen. Silence is not empty.. I very much enjoy your unique expression concerning such important words. Always a pleasure to read you, Josh.

Every dawning brings a new promise, a new beginning...I think your poem expresses the need for it to begin within ourselves, for only then can be best extend it to others.

It's good to meet you, Joshua!

Such a wise and quiet prayer, or a beautiful way to meditate, my friend. I quietly enjoyed the beauty of this simple but rich value you brought the cafe here, I know, what it means to hold deep within. Thank you for your fantastic skill in writing...

This is the "real" essence.
