A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

03/2013

"
the sun is coming up

piercing rays of light
grace upon my death

bringing me back
from a long night
to a nearly forgotten life

Is this another chance
or just the end of the tunnel
I've been crawling through

out of a six foot hole
I emerge, just as dead
as I went in

just as cold as
I ever was

Isn't it nice to work at night? lol feeling dead, and some morning light that peeks in, it's a whole switch, but it's cool at night, the temperature is cool, the ambience is tranquil, and the silence... most of all.

I do so love this piece. You went back to your favorite time, of "natural day".

It's cool, how beautifull you express the night, the morning, and death, all in the same poem. Good skill.

powerful ending my friend, dark and intriguing...

life never leave us, it is just that the feeling being dead is always there, the loneliness or pain made it so... it is a dark tunnel pass through, no light in the darkest times, but still you were able to survive the living dead feeling beacuse somehow you'll know there will be something or someone will fill the void or just reach out and take you out of the endless void into the feelings that makes you alive...

very expressed! and I like it!

First off where did you get that rad pic? I want it for my Piniterest account lol. Darth Vader holding a picture of Robert Smith, well what can I say? That's just ferking brilliant. That alone can take a person's thoughts in a million directions, it would inspire me too! And your poem, it reads like a Cure song, ha ha, I love this!

Your poems are always full of emotions, Joshua. I kind of experienced this thing the other day. It was so frustrating. I don't even know why but it sure hurts like hell to feel that way. This was a nicely-expressed poem. I really liked it.

Sometimes, just gotta strive hard and stay strong in facing dreary days. Ugh.

Darkly emotive... in my younger years, I have been here. Strong post.
