cry not

cry not

Somberly they gathered

Silently they stared

At the hole in the ground

That would soon be filled

Once the proceed arrived

Tears fell with the rain

Wails lifted to the sky

And sobs intertwined

Memories laid on minds

With the approaching end

The closest fell to their knees

A sad and stygian sight

If they had only known

That this wasn’t the end

If they could have only seen

That she stood among them

It's deep, and rich, how you make contact here. I see her standing... I do. it's an insight from out of the sideline again, out of the body, it's you that can see both, it seems... chill bumps all over by this one... the music is perfect too ^^ there is always so much in your poetry were we all can learn from. Fantastic.

Joshua, this one has a very personal, spiritual message. The dead are not gone; they are still very much present and among us, whether we choose to see them or not. Great write!

I enjoyed this free flowing poem with its deep meaning. It inspired me to write this short gift poem for you:

Spirit

Mournfully they gathered,
all eyes in a blare
for a life now shattered
each one unaware

of her essence scattered
here and everywhere.
Her life really mattered,
so don’t feel despair.
