aprire la porta

aprire la porta

A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

"
There was never a dream
that burned so deeply

Never a light that
shined so brightly

I had to close my eyes
in order to see the path

I had to quell my thoughts
to feel the direction

After a moment

My consciousness bled
leaving behind a fleshly casing

Seeping out into this stream
of everlasting forgiveness

Filling me up to the brim

And opening the doors
society has slammed shut

Bringing about exposure
The kind that I relish

This is why I am alive

Humbled, I am free

Spanish right? I think I forgot everything I learned in Spanish class. Lol you could tell me it was Chinese and I would probably believe you. So I googled the title "ignorant me" Definition:

to open the door

So I believe you are writing about invisible doors that surround us in every day life. Some open, and of course some don't. It hurts when they slam in our faces so forcefully. In death, we will be able to knock down all of these doors freely. Some day...BUT NOT YET!

Thank you Dana. It's nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by.
Apri la porta, per me per favore, perché sono pronto... sono pronto...

How gorgeous it was for a moment wasn't it? that light is so beautiful...
Then still there is much to do yet, for us who have seen, for it wasn't the time...
Now you are free, indeed...

This sounds akin to a spiritual experience. Perhaps that is precisely what this is? You just gave me an interesting thought, now. Though I'll leave it at that. This is a good experience, I say.

It is about a spiritual experience that came through meditation. And yes, it was good. Thanks Vince... read more

You speak this so freely, and it is as if you have been vindicated and now can soar the open skies. Good poem, great expression.
