star-crossed

star-crossed

A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

04/2014

"
the way to one another
is open

energies entwined
became the escape

we were poised to feel
the pain that never came

mademoiselle
with the smile that saved me
and the heart that grazed me

when you walk your secret shores
look for me in the waves
and feel me in the winds

find an ally in me
on the vanguard of war

There is an unseen cord that links you to the ones you love, and so you feel them on distance, as there is no true space between hearts. In times of anguish, one might escape into that and feel comfort, feel as one together, and not alone. I sense a wish to be found in someone else's core, although your roads may have been divided. I'd like to imagine the knot is tight, and you're with her still.. Stunning words, stunning execution.

To say I didn't care isn't 100% true. Like you, I did miss a few.
wonderful write, very romantic and tenderly written, such a sweet gentle reminder that you stand at the ready, in the waves in the wind, by your side, gorgeous write. :)

Brother, this is amazingly beautiful. I enjoyed reading every word. I love the imagery...and the pictures you painted in my mind. Every word fit together perfectly. The flow was amazing. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem. :)

This is extremely intense and beyond beautiful Joshua. You dance with words, as they bring you to other places of the mind. And they bring us readers there too. How romantic and pure.

"when you walk your secret shores
look for me in the waves
and feel me in the winds"

Such a beautiful stanza, I bet she will because the spirit of such
a rich and creative ghost you can't deny ;) he will be all wrapped around her.

Gorgeous penning...

The first stanza threw me off. All the metaphor seemed to be crammed together. But the next stanza was definitely jam packed with image and I loved the flow of it. And the metaphor came in gentle waves. As for format, it kind of threw me off a little bit. My OCD sort of tried correcting it in my mind. Overall, I loved this piece! J'adore! -Ian
