our elite touch

the electric currents
passing between us

helps to enshroud
the damage

the need
to say goodbye

remains lodged
in my throat

I dare not speak it

venturing not to
bring closure

upon blinding myself
to infraction

my version of the truth
remains irrelevant

taking away any chance
of redemption

I will instead
hide my face

I will obscure
my pallid form

in the billowing folds
of your dark desire

Beautiful poetry, to hide in her darker moods almost, and to be almost invisible, by the pain, and love felt the same time... both entangled into eachother.

Joshua, you have magic to your pen... truly.

Your six last lines, say it all to me, how sweet you are, to do this for someone whom you love.
To sacrifice, for love, is sometimes being totally in muted state... yes.

I felt this one, pretty well. You have that little gift, to bring words over into the right direction, and your fans... truly a fantastic piece xx

Silence can seem to be the way to go and in reality it feels like the best choice, but in the end it usually just prolongs the inevitable. The pain is felt, and matters of the heart are never easy.

Your silence...is it to protect your truth feelings? Sacrificing redemption to keep the peace. I dunno sweetie...I felt the pain in this poem. I felt your heartbreak too. But when does silence turn into self-sacrifice? Like most of here on the café...I think you wear your heart on your sleeve. x
