saying our prayers

saying our prayers

A Poem by brainelation

i take my kinfolk
hand in hand
pray with me.
formations that hung
crying blood and tears
cut from marble
fountain of fears
passing for love
above all else
honor that which you lust for
filling souls with
logic and reason
drowning the lust for uncertainty
what is this?
what are we?
answer us
we are one.
and we put our heads down
and say amen
the prayers that we utter
blaspheme
and pray as one
we are too intricate
for black or white
