SS - HerA Poem by Josh MattheuPoem for a lost friendA new year and a new class The new heartbreak fresh and deep No longer caring whether or not I pass Just wanting to get out for at least a week A tragedy here and a tragedy there Classes still lifeless and dull Until I met a girl with dirty blonde hair; Someone I barely knew at all Not once have I ever bat her an eye But now I can’t wait to see her every day I always thought that I would be a little shy But now every time I see her, I feel a special kind of way Sitting next to her with her bright hazel eyes And watching her laugh with that adorable smile Listening to her talk about her super great thighs Loving every moment spent with her all the while What a great personality she has, always acting as cute as she can be Hunched over the table and peeking out from under her arm I still can’t quite tell whether or not she likes me But I sure hope so, for she has such great charm Soon comes the end of the semester, the end of the year And the precious time her and I spend together becomes a closing door Over these past few nights, I’ve been haunted by a terrifying fear; After this, will we see each other anymore?
