SONNET TRIBUTE: JOHN NORMAN

SONNET TRIBUTE: JOHN NORMAN

A Poem by Xavier Paolo Josh Mandreza

From here the Prudent Elder broke his Voice
And told me to Arrest those Rebel's Words
Before Riley's Folly starts to enjoy
Another Victim from the East unheard
I must be grateful Friends as such exist
And remind the Human in me to Calm
Knowing Best Speeches are best unresist
Like Wind sans Fire does the Cooling Charm
You are a Good Example. Funny how it is
If Impudence was since my hidden Trait
I should look to the Cross; And there Begin
To Follow the Man who Heals all Hate.
It's quite hard, Sir, to be a Martyr's Boy
But try as I must to know such Real Joy.
