The greatest there ever was - Muhammad Ali

The greatest there ever was - Muhammad Ali

A Poem by Joshua Lyndon O'shaughnessy
"

In memory of the great man

"
The sweat dripping from your brow,
Intence focus, your time is now.
Amid flashing lights you enter the ring,
Tsunami of of roars Ali they sing.
But you hear nothing, you're in the zone,
Staring at Forman with menacing tone.
Dancincing and twirling, taking punch after punch,
Forman waiting to hear the bone crunch.
As the fight goes on the big man grows tired,
Then you unleash, the big man's retired.
The giant goes down the battle is won,
You run to your family and hold up your son.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,
No one will match Muhammad Ali.

This is wonderful, so beautifully written. I know very little on boxing or Muhammad Ali but I adore how well this poem flows. What I can also commend you on is the clear picture that you described. I really liked this, because it took me to a boxing match. So well written!!
