The Cure

The Cure

A Poem by Joseph M. Shea
"

A love song, How some one can make you stronger

"

The Cure

I swim againt the tide

Been doing it all my life

I never wanted to be this way

But it never worked out right

Look for the open door

That's all I hopping for

I give it all I got

But every one wants more

The waves crash over me

And drag me out to sea

She stand apon the shore

And offers me the cure

To my insainty

Your the caption of this croue

The choise is up to you

I liston to your commands

But still some how I'll lose

I'm a draft upon this ocean

With my deep devotion

I wish some one would though me a line

To save me from this emotion

The waves crash over me

And drag me out to sea

She stand apon the shore

And offers me the cure

To my insainty

I'll make it though the day

And have something more to say

It may not make sence to you

Oh But , by the way

If you could read my mind

Maybe you might find

The insights that I see

But maybe your just blind

The waves crash over me

And drag me out to sea

She stand apon the shore

And offers me the cure

To my insainty

My insainty

What I'm I insaine

This is an interesting song. The waves and the sea are an incredible metaphor for these overwhelming feelings. Nice job.
