Tell the Moon

Tell the Moon

A Poem by Solitary_Streets
"

This is a piece I wrote a long time ago. Around 16, this was in the batch that I first wrote after dropping out of high school to pursue life on my own.

"

Tell the Moon

Dust the butterflies from the bed

my pretty dove...

Cast the light from your eyes

unto the sun and moonlight

Make this night mad...

Separate the day from the night

The stars from the clouds

See the angels black and white

Dancing rusted silhouette

Take the spiraled stars with your wings

my dove...

Begin to lighten the moon

Your rhythm in tune

Your radiant eyes

Your bejeweled lips

Tell the moon what you want

Make this night mad...

An island of laughter

An ocean of touch

Lighten my moon

Lighten my mind

Take my hand dove

Hold it tight

Let's crash the waves together

Out of sight...

Make this night mad...

With our starry

Unopened

Moonlight romance
