It LeftA Poem by JoshuaA poem about nostalgic memories tied to scenery. From my anthology "A Gaze Into Another Life", available on Amazon Kindle. It left me one morning, Eyes locked to the roofs below An asynchronous pattern of tiling and chimney smoke, And yet no obstruction was caused to my vision. It left as my heart swelled, My lungs began to elevate, And soon after, my mind followed, An unnerving sense of enjoyment. It left as the French breeze Briskly, but ever so quaint, Locked my stance Chains, light as air, Pulled my body back down. For in time past, I have come to realise that Some part of me remains entranced by that beauty. A slither of innocence, Of child-like wonder, Forever captured in one moment, Free from thought, Free from body, Free, it stays, Life abandoned. © 2022 JoshuaAuthor's Note
