Hard pleasing youA Poem by joTrying so hard to please someone who is always disappointed in you.
I. Could pore out the river I hold in my eyes
Shed the skin that cloth my bones Rip out the hair that cover my bones I could grant my heart the serenity to accept The pain, the fear Give my soul the wisdom to strive My life, mine to hate I try to please you, I try so hard You throw your hush words to me and they hit me like stones The wounds they cause me very deep The scars forever for me to bare My once precious soul, now lost in between Me and you Am I me or am l you Your mistakes you want to mend in me I feel from you cold hate, so cold I shiver When you look into my eyes When I look into yours I see the depth of your disappointment for me You never asked, you judged you hanged me up without letting me in I may laugh with you Deep inside my heart is slowly melting away like ice I'm afraid Afraid of what I don't know And again I try to please you © 2015 joAuthor's Note
