Same but Different

Same but Different

A Poem by Georga

It is the same only different…

Yesterday
First thing in the morning
I would run to the pond
Cool morning dew on my feet
Just to see your smile
Hear your laugh
And see the light in your eyes
It was comforting to me
The warmth of your friendship
To know that you were there
Even if we said nothing

Today
Miles away
You still make me smile
And bring me comfort
Like a teddy bear or favorite blanket
To a small child – only better
I miss sharing the sun
Your smile, your laugh
But I am still happy
To know that you are there
Just an email away.
