Come Walk With Me

Come Walk With Me

A Poem by Georga

Come take my hand
And walk with me
My dearest friend
Across distant shores,
And moonlit beaches
Through summers rain
And the sands of time
Where rose petals
Fall as tears
My heart belonged to you
Only you didn’t know
And I was scared
A frightened child
In an unknown land
To look into your eyes
Was a blanket of warmth
Your smile a beacon in the night
Years have past
We’ve gone our separate ways
I still hold you in my heart
My most cherished memory
In a place no one else can touch
Behind lock and key
