SHUT UP and OBEY!

SHUT UP and OBEY!

A Poem by Jordan

Be polite and mindful of others feelings

bridle your tongue out of fear and pain

listen to me, do as I say, not as I do

SHUT THE F**K UP and LEARN HOW TO OBEY!

what happened to America over the past years

why do we bite our tongues to taste our own blood?

no one is brave enough to stand up and say ENOUGH!

I blame the heartless children called generation X

or maybe it was this training called diversity

desensitize and brainwash us better than the bible

be politically correct, hide your true feelings

dilute your words until they have no meaning

pull down your pants, grab your ankles and get in line

as our government continues to f**k us over

public servants are suppose to serve the people

instead they have enslaved and shamed everyone

How many more families have to become homeless?

How many jobs have to be lost before you will see?

How many more deaths to our children before you will believe?

How many more rights must we lose before you speak?

What will it take for you to stand up to be heard?

One life equals one vote, we hold power over our government

instead we chose to sit in silence, assimilate and obey

what happened to America over the past years

we the people lost our heart to stand up for what’s real

Wow.. quite the fuel here! The circumstances we face today can be blamed on a spread from the turn of the century really and parting ways with the gold standard in cycles all the way up to 1971 (my opinion) with fancy accounting principles and little understood jargon. Governments and economies run in cycles and it's as simple as time's up! It is time for change.. not easy street either with so many baby boomers about to retire (may bump that up to 70 I hear). I read that about 1 million people will be retiring each year for at least ten years.. who is going to support those pensions on the wages we make today and with disappearing jobs..

I sure hope they find a solution but any government will not find a magic wand to keep supporting spoiled behaviours like we have become accustomed to.. everyone owes and the bill is in the mail. It certainly isn't nice to be a generation X'er.. we were taught we most likely would have to reschool and change jobs 5 times with the possibility of not having a pension in school.. that could be the reason we are complacent.. OUI? (no I don't speak french fluently.. just thought that sounded nice)

hmm...this sounds like a poem espousing libertarian values. I find L8 the most interesting. The "downfall" of America essentially beginning after it had just ascertained itself as the most powerful nation in history. And within a few decades of dissent it is completely run by buffoons.
I am also interested in the use of "politically incorrect" talk. It is actually fairly interesting how much is not restricted, but at the same time the things are.
Anyway, I applaud your efforts in making your voice heard.

This poem made me want to march to the mountaintops and spread the word. I'm still learning about the American government and all so I'm always interested in the thoughts of the people that live here and have a better understanding of how things are working.

This poem captures the essence of frustration and anger...but it is not negative energy...it's a voice that informs and encourages folks to stand up and demand to be heard! I love the passion in this and the sensitivity that strives to reach out to everyone.

Great write!! Definitely enjoyed and it shall go in my favorites ;)

We know right and wrong, and we do bite our tongues. We should learn to talk more.

as humanE beings we know instinctively what is right and wrong~ governments~theocracies~the cult of media all ache to strip the E from the end of human to serve their secular puposes~ we know it's wrong and yet the tide of sheeple is baaing on in comfortable selective ignorance tossing their individual composite wholes over the cliffs with the lemmings for the self ceneterd right to be selfish little automatons on a leash that still has give~ but not for long~
another poetic of sociopolitical relevance from your keenly perceptive core of thought~

About
I use to bite my tongue to just get along in life. Closing my eyes to the obvious that I see every day. Now with my pen and paper I finally get to speak in poetic versus and spoken words of thought... more..
