Manipulation

Manipulation

A Poem by Jordan M. DeSurne
"

Just something for fun, I suppose.

"

Never push,
Aim to please,
Try to calm stormy seas
Respect her secrets,
Her bold lies,
Twist spiders into butterflies

Verbal grace,
Like Fred Astaire
My words waltz and dip, a talent rare
My forked tongue flickers, and burns like hot grease
Yet you still hold tight, to this satyr in fleece

Regardless of time, regardless of change
The game and song remain the same.
