Ocean.

Ocean.

A Poem by Jordan M. DeSurne
"

The title's not generic at all, is it? :P

"

Aquamarine rolling in soft waves under translucent silk,
Silvery scales below, darting to and fro amongst the current
Seagull’s feathers soaring overhead
Amongst billowy, white mare tails.

Through the current she cuts like an ivory dagger
Sails filled with the warm, salty air
From the port side all I see is freedom,
And from the starboard, happiness.

The horizon only reveals the comfort of burnt orange
Striking the bottoms of mellow, purple cloud-tops
Although the sun disappears, conjuring up the stars and moon in its wake
My desire to swim away never will.
