The Dragon and Her Admirer

The Dragon and Her Admirer

A Poem by Jordan M. DeSurne

Flocks of emerald scales lazily float through the sky
Leathery blue wing membrane,
Making the grass dance under their ominous, fluttering shadow
Infamous, mystic roars throb and pulse through my eardrum
And mortal blue eyes watch
As immortal golden hues scan the ground.

Her saurian maw opens,
Magickal embers flickering through pearl spires
And although beast and man may flee and seek shelter,
This mortal dreamer longs to be one with reptilian beauty.
