My Little Boy

My Little Boy

A Poem by JodiQ

From my womb you grew
I felt first those little feet
I felt first those little hands
I carried you
I cherished you
When I first heard that little pitter-patter heart
With a tear over joyed I felt
The time had come to break our bond
I gave you life at birth
I saw your littler figure first
I held you than
I held you close
As you lay upon my chest, I knew that moment would not last
But I kept you safe
I kept you warm
When it was time to go, I brought you home
I nursed you
I craddled you
A tear swelled as I looked upon you face
Those bright little eyes looking back with embrace
I knew one day you would grow big an strong
And grew you did
I watched with protctive eyes
You taught me quick
As you learned fast
Growing and growing
You give me cuddles
Smiling so happy
As you play and explore around
I kiss your bumps
I dry your tears
I lay you down night by night praying away your fears
I know as you grow forever I willl always hold you tight
My beautiful Son
My little boy
Your life has just begun
You give me new love
You give me reason
I know it will not be easy letting you go
Know always I am here
Always my love for you shall grow.
